Levy County Horse Show Results

Saturday, October 24, Scattered Acres Equestrians attended the Levy County Hoirse Show and did well. Elizabeth Kelly received Grand Champion, Virginia Mitchelle received Grand Champion, Katie Kelly placed third, Julia Gruber received Grand Champion, Megan Ames received Grand Champion and Tiffany Murry received Grand Champion. Congratulations to all of the riders and a special thanks to the parents and siblings for helping at the show. We would also like to thank our instructors, Sharmon Puffenberger and Travis Stratton for coaching us through yet another successful Horse Show.

Levy County Horse Show this weekend

This Saturday, October 17, 2009, there is a Horse Show in Levy County that Scattered Acres will be attending. The Horse Show is a 4-H horse show. if you would like to sign up for the show, sign-up sheets are on the corkboard outside of the tack room at the barn. More information such as what time the show starts and when you must be at the barn to get your horse ready if you are showing, will be posted later.

SEC Horse Show Results

On Saturday, October 16, 2009, Julia Gruber took Louisa and Megan Ames took Forrest to the Sumter Equestrian Center Horse Show. Julia Gruber the "green horse" division taking Grand Champion and Megan showed in the "hunter jumper, walk, trot over crossrails" division taking Grand Champion as well. Way to go Julia and Megan! Scattered Acres rocked the horse show!!

Officers Meeting

The Officers Meeting was tonight at Lecanto, Florida in the Extensions Office at the Health Department. not all of our officers participated. Only The President, Secretary and Treasurer showed up. We have agreed that next meeting each Club will bring the material for a knotted quilt (for more information please call our Secretary or President) which will cost $15. more information will be posted later.

Successful Fundraiser at Jazz Up Dunnellon

On October 10, we had our first fundraiser at Jazz Up Dunnellon. We sold baked goods and raised a total of $250.21! The money will be transferred into a checking account as soon as possible. We would like to thank Valerie Hanchar for allowing us to set up our table outside of her office. I would also like to personally thank Elizabeth Campbell, Virginia Mitchelle, Julia Gruber, Hannah Murry, Megan Vann, Sydney hanchar, Kayla Martinez, Megan Ames and their families that were there helping and supporting us at our first fundraiser. There will be a meeting in Lecanto, Florida this Monday, October 12, at 6:00 PM, for the officers of the 4-H Club. Jazz up Dunnellon

This weekend, October 10, in Dunnellon, Florida, Scattered Acres Equestrians 4-H Club will be at the Jazz Up Dunnellon festival to sell baked goods to raise money for our 4-H Club. Jazz Up Dunnellon will start at 5:00 PM but the Scattered Acres 4-H Club should be there at 4:00 PM to help set up. If you will not attend the event or will be late, please let us know. If you are in the 4-H Club you can sign up to make baked goods such as brownies, cookies etc. on the 'Fundraisers' page. Please keep in mind that the event will take place while the sun is still out so don't bring goodies that will melt quickly. Thanks!
