Rememberance Horse/Pony of the Month

The Rememberance Horse/Pony of the Month is Bugsby!!!! Bugsby (known as Abominable Snowman in the showring) was a registered POA gelding with possible Shetland breeding. He was a little bit smaller than Willie, probably between Willie and Tina's height. He was adorable and he knew it. He was an amazing jumper, when he decided to jump. He was shown extensively by Elizabeth Campbell at Just a Bit, Marion County Saddle Club, Sumter, HITS and many other show circuits, and by other riders. He was sold after competing at HITS Ocala Winter Circuit, 2006, to a barn in Tennessee that had travelled to Florida to show. He had been best friends with Willie and Lacy(also the only horse to be dominant over Willie) for many, many years and Willie has never been the same since Bugsby left. As stubborn, ornery and as many crops as we broke on him, he is missed dearly by all riders and barn-moms who knew him. We loved him very, very much, and hope to one day locate and bring him home. Bugsby is the most deserving, living equine, for the Rememberance Pony of the Month. He is amazing. We love you Bugsby!!!

Pony of the Month!

April's pony of the month goes to.......*drumroll*....... BUBBLES!!!! Congrats to the mother of Puff's Magic Dragon! Bubbles has been selected to be Pony of the Month because she has a lot to deal with. She has a feisty young colt to care for and that's a big roll for a little pony! We admire her courage and bravery to protect her foal no matter what. Even when times get tough for her, we know that Bubbles will never give up and will keep striving to get to the top of the mountain! Congratulations Bubbles!!!

WARNING! SAE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

ATTENTION ALL SCATTERED ACRES EQUESTRIANS RIDERS, WORKERS, AND PARENTS!! Today, (April 11th, 2010) A Coral snake was found in the stall in pasture 6. Coral snake's are the second most venomous snakes in the world! They can commonly be mistaken by King snakes and Garden Snakes. Coral snakes have black bodies and heads with yellow and red patterns on their bodies. They don't bite horses and people unless you pick them up but PLEASE if you see one of these snakes don't get near it go tell someone immediately! Thank you!
